Rik’s Mix Podcast

The next few chapters of the book I started writing years ago, this part covers my arrival to Germany, my impressions of living in a foreign country and my initiation into a new life as a soldier. 

I've always loved to write and have always wanted to write a book. I actually started writing a book around 2007 about my journey from being a frustrated college graduate working jobs that just weren't doing it for me to quitting everything, joining the army to get me to Europe and then how my changed since then. I stopped writing the story for personal reasons but if I get enough positive feedback, I may decide to staet up again. Hope you like the first part and please give me feedback!

It took a while but as promised, this podcast focuses on the positive...the positive of being back in the US, the positive of living in Colorado Springs and then finished off with some interesting facts about Colorado Springs. 

Just some observations about our new home and about being back in the US in general in my usual ranting, never happy style...

In true Thibodeau fashion, finding a place to live here has been nothing short of disaster, but with a happy ending...we hope... 

Our first week had its share of ups and downs. Unfortunately one of the downs was about as low as we have ever been on a PCS. 

Ranting about how difficult it is trying to escape Germany complete with an update on the vehicle inspection/registration saga and some major - and possibly expensive - drama with our landlord...

I debut a new feature called "The List" and list my top 10 SITCOMs of all time. 

Nothing is ever easy when I am involved. 

I recently accepted a position with SPACECOM in Colorado Springs, Colorado and we will be leaving in a few months so I started thinking about things I will miss - and things I will not miss - about living in Europe. This is Part I as I'm sure I will come up with more as we get closer to moving day...
